Rockaway Beach, Brooklyn duo Lewis Del Mar took the internet by storm with their infectiously raw debut track, 'Loud(y)' little over a month ago. The pair don't feel like a New York, or even a US band at all, sharing far more DNA with the esoteric skewed guitar-pop of Brit bands, Alt-J and Everything Everything than anything stateside. Their second potent track 'Memories' is with us today; another elastic, energetic indie number driven by static-crackle bass, raucous ramshackle percussion and sprightly acoustic strumming, it's about to put these über-smart beach boys on the radar of pretty much every label on the planet. - DC
